Innovative Advicehub network launches in Fenland

The first Advicehub touchscreen kiosk in Fenland was launched at the Rosmini Centre Wisbech on 1st June.  Guests from local government, businesses and the press joined Rosmini staff and service users to celebrate the installation of the kiosk, and to try it out for themselves to look for answers to common advice issues.  A trial remote interview was also carried out using webcam and Skype phone.

This kiosk is the first of a network funded by the Investing in Communities fund of EEDA which is being installed in community locations across Fenland, one of the most rural and remote areas of the county.  Advicehub is working in partnership with other advice agencies all over Cambridgeshire to deliver a more streamlined, quality advice service to all residents, making use of innovative technology to create a shared appointment system and to deliver specialist advice services using a gateway assessment model.
